whinecraft:

ive been asked a few times how i draw back-views, especially for character sheets so i wanted to share a little trick I learned a while back that’s really really helpful especially if you’re used to drawing things from the front and need help getting the proportions right from the back view.

You don’t ALWAYS have to do this the way that I do; The only reason I put effort into the front view is because this is going to be a character sheet and I need the front view to be fleshed out.

But alternatively; Just sketch out a sillhouette, then fill it in on a higher layer.

Sorry if someones already done this before im just answering a frequently asked question ;w;

ANATOMY TIPS

I was doing a bit of an anatomy study on my livestream and was asked to please post it.

  • The crotch is the halfway point of the body from top of the head to bottom of the feet
  • Shoulders to hips = hips to ankles
  • Elbows rest at the waist line
  • Wrists rest at the crotch line
  • Shoulders and breasts/pecks should always be parallel, no matter what angle the shoulders are at
  • With boob placement, keep in mind where the collar bone, ribs, and shoulders are.  Breats have muscles that connect to the arm—hence why lifting an arm also lifts the breast corresponding with it.
  • Feet are the same length as your elbow to wrist.
  • There are two bones in the knee; the cap and a smaller one below it.  You CAN see them and adding that subtle detail is a really nice touch!
  • When drawing eyes, keep in mind that you should be able to fit the width of an eye between them
  • The face is broken down into thirds; hairline to eyebrows, eyebrows to bottom of the nose, bottom of the nose to chin
  • The halfway point of the head is at the eyeline
  • The mouth is 1/3rd of the way from the bottom of the nose to the chin
  • Ears are from the top of the eyes to the bottom of the nose
  • When drawing a 3/4th view of the face, do NOT MAKE THE FURTHEST EYE SMALLER — the perspective is too small to be noticeable unless you are doing extremely accentuated/warped perspective.  The eyebrows, top of the eyes, and bottom of the eyes should all be parallel regardless of the face’s angle.  The only differences should be the widths; front eye should be wider than the further eye.

Knowing the rules to anatomy is important!  Once you learn them, then you can break them. ( ≖‿≖)*

According to NBC Washington, this is one of the ridiculous ways Common Core teaches kids problem solving and critical thinking… with simple beyond reason math problems.

I found this image on Facebook and shared it and even asked my stepfather to take a look at it. An aerospace engineer (a career involving a heavy amount of calculus) could not figure out what was going on here. If you’re making math so hard that someone who studied his anus off in calculus classes can’t understand it, you’re making it too hard for kids. Burn Common Core to the ground.

yes!!

I can’t even begin to understand why this new fangled way is necessary. Like…I’m so confused right now looking at this.

To heck with the American public education system. This is why out children don’t tank top 10 globally. This is why our children can’t get jobs.

The hell is the new one??? Dafuq??

Where the fuck does the 5 come from

I THInK I get it but it’s so fucking complicated I don’t know if I’m wrong or if the common core is LITERALLY this inefficient.

I get it now, you take the bottom number at add the first digit of the first one to get 15. Then you add the second digit of the result of your first equation (wonder why they don’t use the “new” way to find 15, 20, 30, and 32) and repeat until you get to the original number you want to add.

Fuck that bullshit.
